PHILIPPINE FOOD BANK

Philippine Food Bank

The Philippine Food Bank Foundation, Inc. was established in 2017. Since then, millions of pesos in food and household essentials have been distributed through a network of about 150 groups, reaching about three million people.

Philippines Food Bank

This initiative began in response to Pope Francis’ exhortation to reflect on the contemporary “Culture of Waste”, identify ways to approach this problem, and stand in solidarity with the hungry. In the Philippines, about 21% the population is malnourished.

The Foundation distributes food and necessities to marginalized populations through grassroots partners of parishes, religious orders, orphanages, schools, and charitable institutions.
