Home / Partnership with FPSC
In addition to projects that we manage directly, American Initiatives will work in close partnership with the Spain-based Fundación Promoción Social de la Cultura (FPSC), a private, non-profit organization, who since 1987, has worked to promote human development and the promotion of culture.
FPSC's goals are to meet the different needs of the countries in which it works, based on the needs and proposals from local partners, beneficiaries and co-funding institutions. FPSC has obtained General Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and it is one of the Non Governmental Development Organizations listed by the AECID (Spanish Agency for International Cooperation). Since its conception in 1987, FPSC has completed 206 projects in a total of 31 countries in Latin America, Asia, and Sub-Saharan and North Africa.
Like FPSC, we are concerned about the impact of the current economic situation on distressed and developing nations, so we have teamed with them in a unique partnership to bring funding to locations that need it. By contributing to American Initiatives, donors multiply their donations many times over.
Our reciprocal relationship with FPSC allows us to minimize our costs and take advantage of their existing resources and expertise.
