American Initiatives requires that all potential granted complete a Grant Application Form.
Only foreign projects that further the mission of American Initiatives will be eligible for contributions. Furthermore, each project shall require a project-specific grant application and budget and will be monitored by American Initiatives in order to ensure that the resources are spent efficiently and consistently with the terms of the grant. Once American Initiatives approves a grant for an entity in a foreign country, the foundation will maintain full oversight over the disbursement of funds for project implementation in the foreign country. American Initiatives will require proof of tax-exempt status and a brief description of why the grant is being solicited and how the funds will be used.
